Wisdom tooth extraction...How long does it take to heal?!

Question: Wisdom tooth extraction...How long does it take to heal.?
I just had my wisdom tooth removed 4 days ago. It was my upper right tooth and was extremely impacted (like resting against my sinus cavity). Right now my gum on that side is pretty swollen, it doesn't hurt (surprisingly) but it is even with my teeth so I can't eat properly. Can anyone tell me when it will be safe to eat like a regular person again without worrying about ripping stitches out.?.?.? Any help would be appreciated:)Health Question & Answer

your stitches should start to fall out in 3-5 days. i ate normal foods 5 days after my surgery, but was very careful to chew only on the front most molars. be careful, and swish with warm salt water, and you will be fine!Health Question & Answer

I got my wisdom pulled about a month ago. It was the one in the back right side bottom. My dentist is great because it didnt hurt at all. I didnt eat hard food so you shouldn't too. It took about a week to heal for me and you should eat foods that is soft. Good luck. Health Question & Answer
