Yes you need to talk to an oral surgeon though. It will cost more but if you feel strongly about it. I wouldn't worry though. Having 4 teeth pulled when they are already in is nothing like the wisdom teeth being pulled out. Wisdom teeth always break and they are a *****. I can't believe you had a doc who didn't put you out to pull them. I had 4 teeth pulled for braces and I'm a so incredibly scared of the dentist I can't even begin to tell you. But i would actually rather have a tooth pulled than a cap done for sure. It was kinda cool you could hear all this stuff going on but it didn't hurt at all. Talk to your ortho and tell him you want an oral surgeon and if he won't suggest one call your dentist or ask some friends. Even if your out they use local anesthic. plus if they are promolars they are a lot easier than to remove than wisdom teeth. The reason that local anesthic is that they probably are probably not going to shut off your reflex system, ( to turn off some one reflex is very dangerous as the next stage may be death, so they probably nare not going to sedate you that deep for this type of procedure) so as not to eleict a reflex, while they are working with you teeth they localize the tooth to make sure npain that can eleict a reflex is not transmitted, they dont want to you to reflex, but they also dont want to shut off you reflex system. They only want to stop transmission of impulses from the tooth so that they dont activate it. And its safer to do it with locals.Health Question & Answer
Well, I was 10 when I got my first four teeth pulled out and they stuck a needle in my gums, pushed in some Novocaine and called that numbing (it didn't work!). I'm 14 now and I have to go to the dentist in a few weeks to get a cleaning and schedule my next tooth pulling so I can finally get my braces. If they didn't put a 10 year-old-girl out, then they definitely won't put you out. Idk. Maybe my parents didn't want to spend that much money on sending me to a hosptial and having them put me under. When I got my teeth pulled I got "happy gas". It's awesome!

Oh and you'll deffinatly get Novacaine (sp). It's a shot that numbs your mouth. It will make your face swell up a bit.
Don't drink anything from a straw after you get the shot cause it will just dribble out of your mouth. :)Health Question & Answer

3)get laughing gas

Yes, but you would have to go to a oral surgeon. I did that, I think it cost $3000. They put an IV in your arm and you fall asleep, and wake up feeling drunk lol.Health Question & Answer
