Ah, the joys of braces. Yes, they're canker sores. Yes, they come from irritation on the inside of your mouth such as with braces, and yes, they hurt a lot.

You don't need to see a doctor, all you need to do is swish some hydrogen peroxide around in your mouth, or dab it onto the sores with a cotton swab. It'll bubble up and sting for a minute but it works wonders in healing the sores quickly. Until they heal, avoid salty or greasy foods around the sores, chew in the back of your mouth.

By the way, don't swallow the hydrogen peroxide, it'll upset your stomach.Health Question & Answer

Yeah, canker sores. I know they hurt. I usually get one every year or so and it usually lasts for about a week. It hurts to eat anything or drink anything acidic. Not that I know of is there any treatments, but I usually use some mouthwash when I get those. It keeps them clean and from getting irrated even more. And keeps them from getting infected. That would be pretty bad.Health Question & Answer

Those are canker sores. They pop on their own and leave a white sore. Your braces rubbing on your lip probably caused the sores. Foods and drinks with lots of acid can cause them also. Try using Orajel or something similar to that to help with the pain and avoid anything with a lot of acid in it.Health Question & Answer
