It depends at how your mouth is....my teeth were pretty bad and it hurt and plus it depends on the size of the wire...powerchains hurt to bite down and stuff and so dont rubber bands...if you just got your braces on then you have gone through the worst pain. Getting them on is def. the worst then after that its just tight and can hurt biting down on.
