Do I have a Cavity on my molar?!
Question: Do I have a Cavity on my molar.?
I know this question is stupid, but I have to ask.
Today I was eating a banana laffy taffy and molar tooth in the back of my mouth felt funny as I ate it. The funny feeling was this deep ticklish feeling that went through the center of the molar on top of the crown. But, it's not like I have a hole in my tooth. This has been going on for a while.
So, does this mean I have a cavity on that molar.? also, how do you know if you have a cavity, since I've never had a cavity before.?Health Question & Answer

what you are feeling is your molar loosing the enamel, because of that your molar is becoming sensitive to what you eat. you might not noticed a hole in your molar now, but if you continue to eat laffy taffy and not get proper treatment from the a dentist, you will have a cavity. when you do get a cavity it won't be any ticklish feeling it will be horrible pain of a tooth ache. good to the dentist now. before it gets worse and lot more expensive. most dentist have payment plans.Health Question & Answer
It could be the early start of a cavity have a dentist look at it. lots of time some teeth have deep grooves and even the best brushers get cavities since the groove is to small for a bristle to acess, but large enough to fill with bacteria. It is is a very small cavity the dentist may be able to do a PRR (preventive resin restoration, which is a hybrid sealant/filling) which usually requires not needles, and very very very little drilling and takes less than 5 mintues to do.

Hard to say sitting at my desk. Best thing to do is see a dentist, really. They (ie, the dentist + staff) can tell you if you need to have a filling done.
I am a veteran of many fillings (and several redone fillings). You'll manage, if it comes to that. If you have a particularly rough one to do, ask for nitrous. Most dentists can accomodate that, though it usually costs more.Health Question & Answer
