Do lip cells grow back after someone [accidentally] bites it?!

Question: Do lip cells grow back after someone [accidentally] bites it.?
I bit my bottom lip after a dentist's appointment by accident (my mouth was numb). The teeth sunk in pretty deep, and it immediately started bleeding. Will it heal and the lip cells get back to normal.? Will there be any scarring.?Health Question & Answer

I bite my lips all the time (nervous habit) and they've always grown back and been perfectly normal looking. You just have to let it heal, because it will scab over and be annoying. But even if you tear the scab off (which will really be just like an extremely dry patch of lip, not like a scab on your skin), it should heal back just fine. Drink plenty of water to keep your lips hydrated while it heals and use chapstick, but I don't recommend using chapstick on the scab because it could potentially drag the edges of the scab away from the lip and delay the healing process.

Now, since your teeth dug in deep, there might be a scar. But I highly doubt it. Your lips were probably just dry after the dentist appointment and you probably just cracked them, causing them to bleed. Hope I helped.Health Question & Answer

Yes it heals like any other part of your skin does. So does your tongue. There might be scarring depending on how deep the the cut is.Health Question & Answer

The cells on lips are very brittle and active, they will show as a scar then over time heal over.

If scarring happened on my lips then my sex life would lay off biting for awhile 0.oHealth Question & Answer
