Orthodontist please help....!?!

the first time you go you'll have x-yays and moulds done so they can see how bad your teeth are. before your next visit they'll find out for you if you can get braces on the nhs. the second time you go, they'll tell you what treatment they recommend and if it will cost you anything. (it probably wont cost you with a 6mm overbite). then the next time you go you'll get your braces on. it'll feel a bit achy but won't hurt that bad. you'll probably get train tracks (the most common type of braces) which is just a wire going around your teeth pulling them into place with metal plates on each tooth. you can choose to get the plates coloured. you'll have to buy a special toothbrush and keep your teeth extra clean. then, every 6 weeks you will go back to get your brace wires tightened (to pull your teeth further into the perfect position). this will ache a bit each time, but the pain won't be bad. then after 6-18 months (on average) you get your braces off and have perfect teeth! good luck! xHealth Question & Answer

your overbite is pretty big. My daughter's was 5 mm and she wore braces for less than a year, but the amount of time varies from person to person. You may have them for 1-3 years.

your over bite is larger than usual but its nothing braces cant fix
