Puffiness after wisdom teeth removal?!

Question: Puffiness after wisdom teeth removal.?
hey guys,
im a 16 year-old girl and i had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out about 6 weeks ago under general anesthetic. I am still quiet puffy around my cheeks and my jaw line. I got an infection 2 weeks ago because i had some food stuck where one of the teeth had been removed but now the infection is completely gone but im still left with all this puffiness. I dont know what to do! Does anyone have any tips on how i can get rid of it all soon.? ive tried salt water rinses but they dont seem to be working. Thanks :-)Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It is totally normal to seem swollen after wisdom tooth extractions. Having all four removed is very traumatic to your mouth. However after 6 weeks there should not be any swelling. Rinsing right after an extraction is a big no.. no.. but since it has been a few weeks you should be fine. I would apply ice packs to the outside of your cheek area three times a day for about 10 minutes each time. See how it is after 1 week if it isa still swollen contact your DDS that did the extractions. Health Question & Answer

Get ice cubes and wrap them in a towel. Apply ice for ten minutes a few times a day. Do it for three days and the puffiness should go away.Health Question & Answer
