Why are we not allowed to eat gum, chocolate bars, gummy's, or basically anything when we have braces?!

Answers:
When you have braces and eat all those gummy candys it gets stuck under the wires & brackets and can cause CAVITIES when it sits there.
It is harder to brush your teeth when there's metal on you teeth!
You can have chocolate when you have braces....just brush right after!
also, if you eat gummys, or gum, it can BREAK your brackets or wire.
No fun.

Basically because its more than likely to get stuck in the brackets or even brake them.
