It's my right bottom wisdom tooth, X-rays showed nothing, taping on the tooth doesn't make it hurt any more than it is. I have an ap'pt. with an oral surgeon on Tues. for a second opinion.

You may have periconitis, if the tissue around the wisdom tooth is inflammed. either way the only treatment for wisdom teeth once they become an issue is extraction. if it has a hairline crack then a wisdom tooth get pulled. If it has irreversible pulpitis the wisdom tooth gets pulled, if it has acute apical periodontitis the wisdom tooth get pull.
Usually the the treatment plan for 90% of all wisdom teeth is extraction regardless of ailment.
