Question: How to get rid of a white tongue.?
My tongue is white... almost furry and white. It's rather disgusting, really. I don't smoke or drink or do drugs or anything... and I brush my teeth regularly (2-3 times a day). How can I get rid of this embarrassing problem.?Health Question & Answer

First, mention it to a doctor or dentist, make sure there's no cause for alarm.
Second, white tongue can be caused by dehydration - make a conscious effort to drink more water every day for a week or two and see if it helps. Drink extra water if you consume soda or coffee, as they can dehydrate you further.
Third, when you brush your teeth, brush your tongue! (added benefit: it'll help your breath smell nicer too.)
Lastly, you may want to try using a tongue cleaner or tongue scraper. You can get one at most drug stores:

Do you brush your tongue while your brushing your teeth.? If you don't, then try doing that. It could just be food particles that are stuck. Just be careful to not brush the tongue too hard, or you might damage the taste buds. You could also try a tongue scraper. Anti-bacterial mouthwash would probably help too.
If you do brush your tongue though, then I would probably think about seeing a doctor, or asking your dentist next time you see him/her.
