Question: How important is it to go 24 hours without smoking before having wisdom teeth removed.?

Will it be ok if I just go 8-9 hours without a cigarette.? I cant function without my morning cigarette and I have my appointment at 4pm.Health Question & Answer

I don't know what you've heard but smoking BEFORE your surgery is fine... its smoking AFTER that puts you at risk. You're not supposed to smoke for 2-3 days after you have your wisdom teeth or any teeth for that matter removed because it significantly increases your chances of having a dry socket.
