Chillax hun, the herbst isn't that bad. My friend had it and I was supposed to get it but I got elastics instead. This is a picture of the herbst:

Its smaller now though. Not as bulky. Ask your ortho if maybe you could get a MARA appliance. It is supposed to be smaller and more able to get used to.

As you can see it made his bite almost perfect.
