If it was a deep filling, your dentist probably numbed a nerve, and that takes several hours to wear off. No need to worry unless you wake up tomorrow and are still numb.

If it is only slightly numb then I would wait and see how it is in the morning, if it is still in full effect then call the dentists office, they will have an after hours emergency line. Don't take chances, if it's still in full effect after this long then there could be a serious underlying problem.Health Question & Answer
