well does anything bad happen to your teeth when you brush them too much
(for example) : does it take away the annamo on your teethHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
theoretically, if you brush your teeth with a toothbrush which has hard bristles quite firmly over a period of time, you can wear away the enamel. this is called abrasion, and with the combination of a 'gritty' toothpaste, causes friction and the wearing away of the tooth's surface.

Brushing too much can also irritate the gums as well, and in some cases can cause them to recede and move up exposing some of the root structure of the tooth.

either way its not too good as enamel cant repair itself and would result in a trip to the dentist.

I agree with the others... soft tooth brush is the way to go. They are not designed to abuse your enamel but you must change it as soon as the bristles are no longer strait. I've seen over brushing irritate the gums. As a response the gums will shift away from your tooth exposing the normally hidden dentin layer which will wear out much quicker than enamel. your tooth then will feel like there is a notch in it by the gums.Health Question & Answer

If you mean the enamel, the answer is yes. Repeated brushing can wear away the enamel, particularly if you (like me) are known to ingest acidic things like Coca-Cola.
You can buy soft bristle brushes and use Sensodyne toothpaste.Health Question & Answer
