I need my wisdom teeth pulled but i have no insurance and cant really afford it. does any place help?!

I am a Surgical Assistant and can appreciate your dilemma . If you don't have dental insurance and cannot pay out of pocket, I would check with your regular dentist about going to a dental school. The dental students need to practice and from what I understand, the fees are significantly less.

If you live in or near a major city, there may be a dental school nearby. I have had work done at the dental school in Kansas City and they are very thorough and do good work. Usually the only charge is for materials used and the students are supervised by their teachers. You can call and ask a dentist about dental schools or do a google search. also, call around to different dentists. I had a tooth pulled a few months ago and was quoted prices from $150 to $500, so there is a very large range in prices.Health Question & Answer
