How to smoke and avoid dry socket?!

Question: How to smoke and avoid dry socket.?
I just had two wisdom teeth removed a few hours ago and I really want a cigarette, how can I smoke and lower my risk of dry socket.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Oh sweetie, I can feel your pain on this one, but I really would advise picking up some nicotine gum for the next few days. It really does take the edge off.

If you really, really, really need the cig, go ahead, but try to space it out so you're smoking as little as possible. Don't use mouthwash after because dry socket is caused when the blood clot dislodges, and rinsing your mouth with water or mouthwash will mess up the clot so it can't heal.

And maybe when you exhale blow it through your nose so you're only getting half the smoke in your mouth.?

Good luck!Health Question & Answer

Try to not suck hard on the cigarettes. Take long, slow, easy puffs instead of quick hard ones. Try smoking 2 or 3 at once, inhaling directly through them using your lungs to suck instead of your mouth.

Another thing you can do is light up two at once and smoke them through your nose. It burns a little at first, but after a few big inhales it is fine. You get lots of smoke that way, not diluted with air. Seriously, give it a try.Health Question & Answer
