Question: Dental hygiene school with a child.?
i am hopeing to get into dental hygiene school next fall. i just retook some classes. i know science isnt my strong suit but i think once i get more into teeth i will be better. i know i did really good in my dental assisting. i was hoping for some advice from people who have been there with children. i am a single mother and praying to get through the next 3 years and finally get to practice dental hygiene. i am already an assistant and know that is what i really want to do. my child is almost 3. any advice would be helpful, in regards of what to expect and how to finance school the best way possible.Health Question & Answer

I didn't major in dental hygiene but I recently got my second Bachelor's degree and went through school while my kids were both under 4 and still managed to graduate with a 4.0. I actually qualified for Pell Grant and stuff for the first time but also had to take out student loans. It will take a lot of sacrifices but time flies and it will be so worth it in the end. Trust me being a single mom is so hard but I did it and so can you.

I went to dental school and we had several moms in my class they made it so can you. Most schools have programs for watching your child while in school so check with the schools youre interested in.Health Question & Answer
Apply for state aid...they will pay for you to go to school and maybe child care. You go girl!!Health Question & Answer
