I have to get this surgery thing tomorrow at the dentist for my upper lip frenum thing. I'm REALLY scared about it, does it hurt.?Health Question & Answer

I worked in oral surgery and although you may be a tad nervous, it is the easiest procedure they will do tomarrow. You may or may not have decided to use IV med and the procedure takes 5 min. total. Typically they use a local anestetic to numb the area. One poke and you will feel nothing! They snip the fernum and put in a couple of sutures and that's that. You will probably be given a med, you will probably not need more than tylenol for pain. It is uncomfortable but not painfull. Hope this helps you sleep better. Health Question & Answer
