Should I have these teeth removed? help!?!

Question: Should I have these teeth removed.? help!.?
I have a fairly crowded mouth. My bi-cuspids and incisors meet and my cuspids sit directly above them.( they look like vampire teeth) They are uncomfortable because they protrude a bit and they are now causing the gum line around my bi-cuspids and incisors to recede. Im on NHS and had a hard time finding a dentist, the one I have now took one look at my teeth and decided she wants to pull my Cuspids, she has not yet done any x-rays.
My concern is that i have always thought maxillary cuspids can't be removed because of how deep the root is. Can removing them cause the attaching bone to deteriorate.? and if so how would that effect my facial structure.? Obviously removing them wont effect my bite because of where they sit. I have tried looking for info on this and have found no clear answer.Health Question & Answer

I thought I answered this question earlier. Maybe my comment was deleted. If it was, here goes again.
You are correct that cuspids routinely should never be removed. These are important teeth for aesthetics and stability of the arch. More often bicuspids in back of the cuspids are removed to create space and then the cuspids are guided into their desirable position. You might get a second opinion from an orthodontist.
I think I know what NHS is and will hold my comments.
Do not allow them to remove your cuspids. We even try to save cuspids that are impacted by exposing them and pulling them down into proper position Health Question & Answer
