Can I possibly get my braces off?!

Question: Can I possibly get my braces off.?
I got my braces on beginning of August or so, second time in them. I'm a freshman in high school and so I have all my permanent teeth.
My teeth are aligned, they shifted pretty fast. About three weeks ago, the orthodontist said that next Christmas is when I can probably get them off; but they're all straight. If I get them off in like the next month or so will they shift.?Health Question & Answer

well your teeth are in place but orthodontics is actually about moving the bone you teeth are mounted to, and it takes longer for the bone to settle in it's new position, it sucks i went through the same thing. Health Question & Answer

Well, they're the proffessionals. Just keep them on because it cost way more for your teeth to shift back. And there may be some other problems going on that you don't see. Like I thought I was suppossed to be done a year ago and I figured out that some things that were important haven't been done yet. Health Question & Answer

More than likely, they will shift. Please wear the braces until the orthodontist says they are ready to come off. You will probably wear a retainer for a good while after having the braces removed.Health Question & Answer

Your doctor knows what he's talking about. He went to orthodontic school for years, you didn't. Just wait it out another month and a half. I have mine on for at least another year, quit complainingHealth Question & Answer
