Question: My dads breath REALLY stinks!.?
It's so gross i feel sick, i don't mean to be nasty but i want to know if he's ok because it's really sweet smelling and icky. He just quit smoking so could it be that...ick!Health Question & Answer

It can be halitosis. It can be caused by one of two things. Gum disease or it can caome from your stomach. Quiting smoking should not contribute to it. If it isn't halitosis Tell him to buy a tongue scraper in any drug store ( target, cvs, walgreens) and use it after he brushes his teeth. Gargle with listerine and brush at least 2x a day. Most bad breath comes from bacteria on the tongue which HAS to be scraped off. this should help. Health Question & Answer
