Brush and floss well everyday to keep plaque and acid from building up on your teeth and making them soft. Try a sensitivity toothpaste like Sensodyne or Crest Sensitivity for 6 weeks. If that doesn't help, as your dentist/hygienist for a prescription for Prevident Sensitive.Health Question & Answer
Something the dentist I worked for this summer recommended is MI paste. Everyone in my office swore by it. It helps strengthen your teeth as well as help with sensitivity. It is a paste that you rub on your teeth daily for a few minutes, or you can leave it on all night if you want it doesn't hurt. Ask your dentist about it.

If your teeth check out ok at the dentist (no cavities that need fillings or repair) then you can use sensodine toothpaste. It really helps with sensitivity, but it must be used for a few weeks (3 - 4) before you will typically notice a difference. Good luck Health Question & Answer
