Wisdom Teeth Removal - Cheek sewn to gums?!

Question: Wisdom Teeth Removal - Cheek sewn to gums.?
I had 3 wisdom teeth removed on Thursday last week. It's been almost a week and the swelling has gone down for the most part... Except that I still can't chew. There are 5 or 6 stitches on the lower right side and they're all knotted together, when I bite down the knot sits on my teeth and pull. I've noticed that the pulling isn't coming from my gums, but my cheek, and it seems that one stitch has actually been put through my cheek.
I've had both my parents and my brother look, and they have confirmed what I've felt.
I've called the dental surgeon but their office is called, and an after-hours dentist will cost me a fortune. I've already paid $1200 for the original removal. If this was a mistake that he made I don't want to have to pay anymore. I guess I'll call in the morning.

I'm just wondering, has anyone else had this problem.? Is this a normal occurrence.? I know that occasionally they'll stitch the cheek to protect the removal site, but this stitch is way up on my cheek and nowhere near the hole.Health Question & Answer

If you are worried you can go back during office hours and ask them to have a look, but most often it does seem like it is fromt he cheek, thats cos the tissue is all loose in that area because it was cut.Health Question & Answer
