Question: I have to get two of my wisdom teeth out and....?
I wanted to know from people who have been through it about how bad it is.? What is it like.? I also have to get two cavities filled that day too. Health Question & Answer

I just had two bottom wisdom teeth and my top right wisdom tooth removed 6 days ago. The dental surgeon didn't prescribe any pain meds because they interfere with the antibiotics he prescribed.
The first day really sucked, but if you can sleep through most of it then it's not a problem.
Every day after that got better. Just remember to ice it, and don't eat any hot or crunchy food for the first two days or so.
My recovery process has been pretty good, despite the fact that I had a bad allergic reaction to the new antibiotic.
It doesn't hurt as bad as everyone says after the first day.

P.S. I had enough anesthesia so that I was barely awake as well, and I didn't feel any pain. Just some pulling. They'll give you enough numbing in your mouth so you don't feel a thing.I don't really remember anything from the actual removal.Health Question & Answer

I don't want to scare you, but if they are crooked, they are like hell, and the dentist has to cut the tooth in half with his drill, and sometimes it hurts like hell because the anesthesia haven't got to the nerve. just today i had the last one removed and im still bleeding, i haven't been able to eat because i don't want to hurt the hole that it left. good luck, it could either be painless, or hurt like hell. it always hurt a little bit. and a good advise is that you get only two of them removed from the same side one day, and then two weeks later get the other two removed, so you can eat.Health Question & Answer

Whew, with luck, your teeth are NOT impacted and can easily be taken out. Mine were totally impacted and it was a bad experience-stitched my cheeck and gum together, swelling, bruising, pain, nasty stuff stuck in the hole. They told me only soft food for six months because I could crack my jaw. And holy crap, you should see the tooth that is still together! The thing is huge, the others were broken in my mouth and taken out in pieces to make it easier. The first two (left side) were taken out, I was not put under, only a local-BAD IDEA. Cavities aren't bad, especially since you will be under. I had bad pain, but I refused to take the pain medications they gave me because I thought it would affect my other meds. If I had taken the meds, it would not have been bad. Some people have no problem at all. My husband was eating the same day he got his out. it's not too bad if you get put out for the surgery if you don't it's pretty gruesome. anyway it hurts the first day and you have to use this flush thing to clean it out constantly. and you will look like a chipmunk for a few days but it goes away fast. the pain is really not that bad because they give you vicodin usually. but i didn't even need it.Health Question & Answer
I actually got all 4 out at once. I was put under local anesthesia so I was out completely and I woke up about an hour later. My mom is a nurse so she was very diligent with putting ice on and I luckily didn't look like a chipmunk. I ate a lot of rice, mashed potatoes, yogurt and milkshakes for about 3-4 days and within the week I was starting to eat more solid foods. you do not feel a thing during the surgey but when the numbness go away it hurts like hell! so keep an ice pack and advil and salt water for the sores (i no it sucks) got any more questions e-mail me at yourgirlheather24@yahoo.com

Not to scare you away, but I had my two right ones out during boot camp, and for me it was terrible. I was put up for the day and was constantly bleeding and was totally messed up. But after a long while, it stopped.Health Question & Answer
