What's better, having a root canal or having a toothache?!

Question: What's better, having a root canal or having a toothache.?
Answers:
The root canal can be done painlessly! Yes, it can! Ask around to your friends if they have ever had a painless root canal. Those who answer yes, go to their dentist...unless your dentist can do a painless root canal.

My patients always fear a root canal. I usually put them on some sort of antibiotic to clear any infection associated with the absessed tooth. I tell them that the infection can actually "block" the effectiveness of the novacaine. I tell them that I would rather "control the infection than have the infection control us." Meaning that...if I clear up the infection then I can do a painless root canal. They are just amazed when it works.

Sooooo, to answer your question....go for the root canal and leave the toothache.Health Question & Answer

Well probably a toothache but eventually it will start hurting so bad that a root canal may feel like nothing. If you do not treat a toothache eventually you will almost have no choice to get a root canal. also with a toothache if you do not get a root canal and you wait hoping the pain will go away it may affect your other teeth and you may need to get a root canal in more then one tooth.Health Question & Answer

If u have either, I feel for u and hope u handle that. I would prefer neither, but I would say a route canal. A toothache could fcuk up your whole day. Sometimes it could be so bad that it can make u want to kill somebody. On the other hand a route canal seems bad, but its not. Once they numb u up they take the nerve out of the tooth. That will cause the pain to go away. Its a lil more expensive cause to finish the route canal u have to go to the dentist a couple times. But u will be out of pain fo shoHealth Question & Answer

get your root-canal done now, when the pain is still bearable, don't wait too long, the tooth may get really infected and than you may have pain like you've never had before, also, sometimes it's really hard when a tooth is really infected.. i wud say the sooner the better, plus after you had the root-canal, the pain id over and done with vs your tooth-ache coming back, again and again..Health Question & Answer

Duh this answer is easy. Look at it this way would you rather hurt from now on or only for a week or so.(depending on how long you root canal takes) Some people have instant relief after the root canal is started. I would say your chances are better for less pain getting the root canal.Health Question & Answer

Toothache just gets worse and worse until you do something about it. A root canal isn't much fun but it only lasts maybe an hour and then you're on drugs, anyway. The second visit where you get your crown doesn't hurt at all.Health Question & Answer

Root canal is easy compared to getting wisdom teeth pulled. After a root canal there are no more nerve endings to hurt and cause a toothache.Health Question & Answer
