you need new veneers to get a lighter shade. but its possible that they are stained from their original colour and that might be something you can talk to your hygenist about when you next go in for a regular cleaning. also watch out if you are using a whitening toothpaste.. it not only might lighten your teeth but it is abrasive and caused little scratched on your veneers which are not as strong as enamel and the scratches create a porus texture for stains to absorb into.Health Question & Answer

It depends on the type of veneer and the reason for the discolouration.
Porcelain veneers don't change colour, and usually repel staining very well.
If you have composite veneers, then they will usually lose their sheen and slightly discolour over time. Often just having them buffed with polishing discs or rubbers will bring them back to looking good. In some cases they may require replacement.Health Question & Answer

If you really want white teeth new veneers are needed.
they can't ever be whitened.?
