i don't know about where you live, but where i live, people on welfare have VERY limited dental benefits. it covers regular checkups and cleaning but not the expensive surgeries that are often needed to save a bad tooth. it's not always about hygiene either - you can lose teeth for a variety of reasons - grinding/clenching your teeth, poor diet, illness and side effects of medication, etc.Health Question & Answer
What a rude question!! Of course, not all people on welfare have missing teeth, and to suggest such a stereotype is elitist, and ignorant! . I know too many young mothers, with no skills, working two jobs, and still not able to adequately take care of their babies, who have no choice but to receive welfare benefits. For every welfare receiver with missing teeth there are 10 of those young mothers, with perfect teeth. Not everyone on welfare will have missing teeth. But to really answer the question, Alot of times, welfare people live in poor areas. Missing teeth could be due to excessive fluoride intake when drinking tap water. It causes the teeth to turn brown which eventually eats away at the teeth causing them to basically deteriorate and come out.Health Question & Answer
Stupid! Not just welfare people but people that dont have money poor people not everyone gets welfare! State programs and clinics will not pay thousands of $$$$$$$ for root cananls and crowns they only help you get out of pain and most of the time when people are in pain it is when a tooth is too far gone not all teeth can be fixed.
