What would cause staining of front teeth?!

Question: What would cause staining of front teeth.?
I visited my sister at the weekend and was surprised to notice she had brown staining on her front teeth. A line across both front teeth about 2mm from the bottom - as far as I know she doesn't smoke, could tea and red wine cause that staining.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Tea and particularly coffee are known to cause staining of the teeth.

In fact, depending on how strong the individual person's tooth enamel is, some foods can also cause staining, particularly darker coloured foods such as beetroot.

Yes, to red wine, also.

Has your sis been trying some of those commercial 'whitening' products.? I have heard from people that incorrect use can cause some loss of enamel and therefore leaves teeth open to staining.

If she is concerned, her dentist could paint her teeth with something to enhance the enamel and prevent further staining.

Best wishes :-)Health Question & Answer
