Question: Should I get my wisdom teeth pulled out.?
I went to the dentist a few weeks ago, and he said that I need to get my wisdom teeth pulled out, my first dentist said the same thing. They both said that my teeth are starting to overcrowd due to my wisdom teeth. But I feel no pain whatsoever. I heard that you shouldn't get your wisdom teeth pulled out, if they don't cause you any pain. So now I'm confused if I should have them taken out or not.? The same thing happened to me back in march, two dentists said I needed my wisdom teeth out. 8 months later I was in SEVERE pain, with migraines, and headaches on a daily basis, and I just got them out on friday because they hurt so bad coming in. It is not recommended to keep wisdom teeth because when people keep them they tend to cause gum infections on a regular basis...and most of the time are brittal and can breakHealth Question & Answer
If two different Dentists told you this then yes, you do need to have them extracted. First, if they do crowd your other main teeth, they can also cause problems such as infections and YOU DO NOT WANT THAT! I've seen it in someone and they ended up in the hospital with all four extracted in an emergency procedure. NOT PRETTY. Pick the dentist you jibe with the best and go for it. Trust me, you'll be grateful in the long run. You do not want these rogue dinosaur teeth (like an appendix) to affect your permanent teeth. Waiting until something hurts you is always a bad idea in dentistry. You want to take care of this problem before it starts creating all that pressure in your mouth and pushing around the rest of your teeth. You are saving yourself from braces here.
