Hmm...
I work in an office with 2 dentists.... I know they are making close more than 30,000 a month from hygienists alone. That isn't including the work they do. So that is $360,000 alone right there. I am pretty sure my office brings in almost $1 million dollars a year. Of course, there is a lot of overhead. They pay the salaries of 9 employees (three being Dental Hygienists), and of course they pay all the utilites and supplies. I would say the average is $500,000 a year.
also, I did not get this off of payscale or anything like you asked. This is just the facts from the office I work in. I know the numbers, because I am one of the money makers in the office. Why the thumbs down.?Health Question & Answer

If you're interested in applying to dental school, I'd recommend start with the Pre-Dental forums at the Student Doctor Network. They were a lifesaver with me when I was applying. Salary is discussed a LOT there:

It depends... In Canada, they approach $100,000 a year, because dental health is not socialized, so they can charge for it as much as the market will bear.Health Question & Answer
