Dry socket, how to get food out?!

Question: Dry socket, how to get food out.?
so i have dry socket as i found out today and they put a swab in the hole
well my dad fed us roast beef seeing as my dentist said i can eat anything now
well the thing is the meat got in the holes and i cant seem to get it out nor tell if its the cotton or its meat.?
i got some of it out, im just afraid its going to cause an odor again (i had food stuck in it previously and she got it out today reliving me of the odor and pain D:)
so yea, i tried pulling it out with my fingers and using bunches of salt water gurgling.?
should i just leave it be or what.?
im feeling so paranoid + its a killer pain on my behalf
could that just be the dry socket or the fact that i might have meat stuck in it
maybe it will come out when i brush my teeth or by tomorrow.?Health Question & Answer

Keeping doing the warm saline rinses and maintain good oral hyg. In dry socket pain is there and your dentist must have called to again for dressing to be changed so at that time he will take care of socket.

You might try gently rinsing your mouth out with a light solution of salt and warm water. Not too much, swish gently. You could also, in bright light, carefully using tweezers, clean it out. Good luck.

PS Just reread your entry and saw that you tried the warm water method. Still suggest doing it again, just don't do it too hard.Health Question & Answer

i agree leave it alone and just rinse your mouth...if it still feels like it tomorrow after brushing your teeth look and mabey do the tweezers but thats not the best idea..call the doc if its bothering you in 3/4 daysHealth Question & Answer

I would leave it alone, you might remove the medicated packing and w/ dry sockets, they sometimes have to be repacked..Health Question & Answer
