Will a socket that had a tooth removed continue to slightly bleed even after a clot has formed?!

Question: Will a socket that had a tooth removed continue to slightly bleed even after a clot has formed.?
I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed today. I have got most of the bleeding to stop. It's very minimal now thanks to dry tea bags I placed over the sockets. Go Lipton!

Anyway, my question is, even after a clot has formed (I'm guessing one has), will there still be minimal bleeding for a while.?Health Question & Answer

it all depends. i got mine out this morning at 8 and im fine now at like 11. you will have minimal oozing over night but by tomorrow you should be good. mine are doing great and i even ate solid food tonight (chicken, macn'cheese, and rolls). your mouth will let you know when you are ready for it.

but yes they will bleed but not much. expect them to swell over the next two days and then go down. the majority of your pain should be over by tomorrow!

GOOD LUCK and happy healing.

ps - remember not to use a straw for the next few days and ice ice ice!!!!! i can not stress it enough -- it helps swelling stay down (i had none so far), it helps bleeding and pain and stiffness go away. and it will make your mouth very happy.

tomorrow night start rinsing with salt water (8oz warm water with 1/2 tsp salt). rinse slow and gently, take 5 min. to use the glass. this will keep them clean and help them not get infected. trust me YOU DONT WANT THIS!!!!Health Question & Answer

yes i know they tell u not to suck on it but you will for a bit just dont do it for to long that hurts leave it alone an let it bleed you can rinse with preoxide or salt water just dont swallow it .
ps salt will burn
Health Question & Answer

Make sure the tea bags are moistened because a dry one could have stuck to the clot and tore it a bit. Health Question & Answer
