Does a Root Canal Hurt? Root Canal or Extraction?!

Question: Does a Root Canal Hurt.? Root Canal or Extraction.?
I have had 2 previous extractions because I was scared to get a root canal. I need another one and Im thinking of just having the tooth pulled. What are your thoughts. Is the back bottom tooth on the right side. Health Question & Answer

I have assisted dentists in many root canals. The patient is not in any pain what so ever. And if for some reason the patient does feel something we would stop what we were doing to numb it up a little more. I've never even seen a patient flinch during a root canal. Its just like having a cavity filled. Much much better than an extraction.Health Question & Answer

The more you keep having your teeth pulled, you will be left with no teeth. Besides, its just-if any temporary pain. If you decide to get it pulled, just make sure you still have teeth on the opposite sides of the extraction(s) that way you will be able to get a bridge if you desire in the future. This will be your third, dont wait till they get that bad, if you have a cavity...get it filled and you will have all your teeth. Health Question & Answer

A root canal doesn't hurt anymore than getting a filling.
The pain associated with root canal is from the infection and decay that leads up to it, not the procedure itself.
I'd opt for the root canal over extraction. I've had several.Health Question & Answer
