Question: Impacted FRONT tooth .?

can't find anything on the web about this but the destist said my 9 year old has one, it's his left front tooth. We have an appointment with an orthodontist next week and braces and a lever to pull the tooth down have been mentioned. I'm really nervous and the destist said it's pretty serious. does anyone have any info or experience with this.?Health Question & Answer

I don't think its that big of a deal. My friend had the same thing done but it was with a premolar. They hook what looks like a chain to the surface of the impacted tooth and slowly pull it down until its in the spot its suppose to be. Then they just attach a regular braces bracket to it. I dont think its any more painful than just having braces on.Health Question & Answer
