My teeth are see through?!

Question: My teeth are see through.?
I noticed that the outer edges of my top incisors are practically see through from acid wear. I tried sensodyne toothpaste but I don't really see a difference. How can I reverse it so that my teeth aren't see through.?Health Question & Answer

Enamel does not grow back. Once it's gone, it's gone. You can only prevent further damage. You may have to get those teeth crowned to restore a natural appearance. Tell your dentist you want all porcelain crowns, not porcelain fused to metal. It will look more like real teeth.Health Question & Answer

yep, it's definitely because of the acid. most of the time when you can see through your teeth it means they are getting thin, and food and drinks with a lot of acid in it can do that as well like soda and orange juice. it happens to a lot of people so there is no need to panic about it. just go to the dentist and they will easily take care of that. they might be putting a crown or a composit filling (and I heard that the filling doesn't take big bucks out of your pocket) but go to the dentist and they will sort it out with no problemsHealth Question & Answer

better have you rdentist take a look. that happened to me years ago and it ended up all the enamel was wearing off my teeth. now they are very discolored & becoming mis-shapen and cracking. you may need a night guard and some enamel treatments. I wouldn't let it go. You would not want to end up with teeth like mine.Health Question & Answer

Talk to your dentist about this, they will give you treatments for it. Altho costly they help massively.

also you can try ACT. It helps reverse the effects of cavities and wear on enamel.
