It depends how long you have to wear them.
I have a full set (both bottom and upper rows of teeth) and I have to wear them for two years. The total was almost $4000.
However, you can pay monthly until you pay them off or make a down payment and pay sections of it, or you can pay the whole thing before you get them on.. this is what I did and it seemed to work the best.Health Question & Answer

My original orthodontist said it'd cost my mom roughly 7000 dollars.

EDIT: If it matters to you, my braces are to correct my cross-bite and my overcrowding, not teeth straightening.

It depends on your dentist's rates and your plan. I had braces for 3 years and a retainer before that for 6 months. This cost $3300. What my dentist did was $1000 down payment, then payments of $100 every time i came in each month for checkups. Just keep in mind that the longer you wear them, the higher the cost. But you do get more comfort since your teeth will be adjusted slower. Health Question & Answer
