Question: I just got braces on Saturday and one tooth is not connected with the wire because it's to far back..?
But they did put the little bracket. While I was flossing it fell off. Should I panic.?.?.?.?.?.? also why do they put separators in.?.?.?

I've had braces for nine months now, when it comes down to it I think it depends on what kind or brand of braces you have. I thought I should let you know though, that after my first appointment my very back brackets weren't connected to the wire either. I don't think you have anything to worry about unless it starts to irritate your mouth. If it does put some wax on it until you can get into the orthodontist or dentist to snip the extra wire or connect it back where it needs to be. Hope this helps.Health Question & Answer

Donot worry. If there is no wire then nothing to worry. Main thing in braces is wire and the brackets just hold the wire. Wire puts pressure to move the teeth. For more information on braces and their maintenance you can read the following very informative article

separators are to make your teeth a little farther apart so when they put the crown on it doesnt hurt and they dont have to put so much pressure. i dont think you should worry about the bracket if it wasnt connected to a wire.Health Question & Answer
