Wisdom teeth being pulled?!

Question: Wisdom teeth being pulled.?
I know pain tolerance varies from person to person, but I'm curious about yours. I'm getting mine pulled out in 2 days and I'm really scared. lol...

They're giving me an IV as well. I'm also nervous about that (mainly nervous about pain, not the idea of getting my teeth yanked). =\Health Question & Answer

If you're getting an IV they're probably going to put you under. Nothing to worry about, you'll get your IV fluids, then they'll give you the drug to put you under and the next thing you know you'll wake up and it will all be over.

They'll give you a prescription for pain pills which will probably also knock you out when you get home.

I had mine done and pretty much slept for a day or so, wasn't a big deal.Health Question & Answer

Since they're putting you under, pain shouldn't be a huge issue, especially if they give you pain pills afterward. The main thing I hated about having my wisdom teeth removed was the nausea from the anesthesia.

Make sure that you follow your dentist's at-home instructions, because if you don't, you could get dry socket. I've never had it, but my mom has, and it's apparently pretty painful.Health Question & Answer

are you going to be under a local or general anistetic.?

Umm i got my 3 wisdom teeth out under a general and when i woke up i was in no pain, i stayed in hospital and was on morphin (because I had my jaw broken in the process) and stayed there for 2 nights. When i got out the pain started to come on but that was nothing that 2 ibuprofen every 6 hours couldn't handle.

Im sure you will be fine and dont worry about the pain, because it will all be over before you know it!

Good luck!! :DHealth Question & Answer

Don't know about the IV, but the whole operation itself doesn't hurt, but after the injections wear off, it hurt really bad for me. I had all 4 pulled out, and I couldn't stand the pain. I ended up poppin some pain killers.Health Question & Answer
