Answers:
NO! The dentist will numb the area first - nowadays they use a gel before they do the shot so you don't even feel the shot. Then when everything is numb, they pull out the teeth. It really doesn't hurt.
The last time I was at the dentist to get my teeth cleaned, there was a lady in the waiting room who was sooo scared because she had to get a tooth pulled. She ended up next to me so I could hear what was going on. She kept saying how scared she was and asking if it was going to hur, etc. The dentist did his thing, her mouth got numb, he pulled the tooth and she started hollering with joy! (seriously, she was yelling, Praise Jesus and stuff like that, lol)Health Question & Answer

Only when you smile. No, it won't. The dentist will make sure of that. You might feel some pressure if you are awake. I always ask for and get gas. Then you won't care if they pull all your teeth. Just breathe deep and float away into the sky.

The dentist or oral surgeon can numb it or give you anesthesia. After they are out, you will be aware of it at first. And it may feel a little sore at first, but the soreness goes away if you take Tylenol or Ibuprophen. Hang in there. Good Luck to you!Health Question & Answer

the needle to deaden the nerves hurts like any needle will.. but pulling the teeth themselves is painless after that...
