Why are my gums swollen where my bottom right wisdom tooth should be?!

Question: Why are my gums swollen where my bottom right wisdom tooth should be.?
Here's the thing... I got an X-ray of my skull when I was 14 (now 22) and it showed that I do not have bottom wisdom teeth. The top 2 were clearly visible up in my gums and have since grown in. This isn't the first time this has happened to me, but I can't remember if it only happens on the one side or not. I looked at it using a flashlight and I could see what appeared to be a sore or something. It was like broken skin kind of in a circle. Does anyone have a clue what this is from.? I don't think I ate something that could have irritated my gums at all.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
as you have mentioned that you have only top wisdom teeth and lower are missing . in such cases the upper teeth tend to over grow that is supraeruption of the upper teeth takes place as there are no antagonist lower teeth and that must be irritating the lower gums. this is the common thing in such cases. you should visit your dentist and if the case is so then upper wisdom teeth should be extracted.for more information on dentl topics you can visit the following link
