Question: Braces.?.?.?.?.?.?.?.?.?.?.?.?.? do they hurt.?.?
ok i went to the orthodontics last Friday and they put the brackets and spacers/speperators. they said since thanksgiving was soon to come back december 1st and they would put the aplliances on... what are those.?.?.? will it hurt.?.?.? i only have one crooked tooth + a huge overbite and a slight crossbite... will it hurt.?.?.?.?.?

I do agree they hurt, but I have had mine on for 4 yrs.
I know this is not normal, but it shows i have experience.
Your teeth have alot of pressure on in the first week.
After this you will only feel pain when your braces are tightened.
The pain last for 1-2 days.
In pain do not eat hard things, stick to creamy or soup like foods.
Where your elastics all the time that is part of why I have had them on for so long.
Do not eat chewy foods like caramel.
I have broken an expander and bracket that way.
Please don't be afraid.

...They shouldn't have put the brackets on yet. I think you're confused as to what brackets are. Anyway, appliances, I think what they mean are the wires, bands, brackets, ect. It will hurt, probably for about 3-4 days.
And yes, brackets hold the wire, but they put those in when you get your braces. right now you should only have spacers/separators.Health Question & Answer
