My permanent front tooth is loose at 14?!

Question: My permanent front tooth is loose at 14.?
I've never had the best oral hygiene, but I've only ever gotten 2 cavities. I recently started wearing rubber bands for my braces, and I noticed that my right upper front tooth is a tiny bit loose. Now, by that I mean that if I didn't have my rubber band on, I probably wouldn't notice it even if I played with it. The rubber band pulls back on the tooth. Is this a problem that will go away on its own.? Or will I need serious dental attention.? If I stop wearing the bands, will it go back to normal.? I would appreciate if someone with a dental background answered this.Health Question & Answer

Hi. what you experience is, as was said, normal. In the process of orthodontic treatment the teeth move to their destined position by resorbing bone (and building it back) during this time the teeth tend to loosen. After the treatment, the teeth will fasten back in the new place.
IT IS CRUSIAL THOUGH TO KEEP EXCELENT ORAL HYGENE DORING ORTHO TREATMENT!! (it alwais is important but the braces are a great shield for the bacteria to hide under) BRUSH YOUR TEETH AT LEAST 2.5 MIN. WITH A FLUORIDE CONTAINING TOOTHPASTE AT LEAST TWICE A DAY AND USE MOUTH RINSE!!
hope this helpedHealth Question & Answer

Its fine sweetie, that was the purpose of getting the braces. To fix your arrangement. Sometimes you can have too many teeth, or they could be growing the wrong way and its not uncommon to have a tooth get loose. Even though you have posted this on yahoo, sweetie you still need to see your dentist to find out if it needs to be pulled, if it will tighten back up, or if you need to have your bands adjusted.Health Question & Answer

Don't worry about it, it's just your teeth straightening out.Health Question & Answer
