I had a tooth extraction on tuesday, and one side of my gums around the extraction are hard. Is it okay?!

Question: I had a tooth extraction on tuesday, and one side of my gums around the extraction are hard. Is it okay.?
I got one of my bottom teeth in the back extracted on Tuesday and I followed the Doctors instructions on what to do after the extraction. Everything has been fine, and I have been on antibiotics. Today I noticed that the small gum area around the extraction is kind of hard and when I press down on it, it hurts. It kinda feels like something is poking out of my gum.

Im already going to the dentist for a checkup on Tuesday but I just wanted to make sure that it is okay and that its not anything serious. Anyone have any ideas.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It could just be a bit bit of bone making its way to the surface of your gum. Your denist can remove that for you when you go on tuesday.

If you followed all the instructions and are on antibiotics I wouldn't worry about it being something more serious.
