Why is my jaw out of place?!
Question: Why is my jaw out of place.?
i went to the dentist like a year ago or more and he told me that my jaw is out of place...in this link you can see what i mean, my jaw is too forward http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk199... ....i think that is also the reason for my top front teeth not coming in contact with the bottom front teeth as it shows in this picture http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk199... ....i think my jaw is slowly getting more and more out of place because i notice that the gap between my bottom and top teeth has gotten bigger than it was before (by the way my molars obviously DO come in contact)...does anyone know the reason for my jaw being like this.?Health Question & Answer

Your condition is called TMJ and can be genetic or a result of some kind of accident, bad habits (like clenching your teeth) or disease such as arthritis. You can correct this by getting it surgically aligned by an oral/maxillofacial surgeon. If you can't afford to do this and it is contributing to other issues, such as headaches or neck pain, you can take medications and/or get physical therapy treatment.
