Does extracted 4 wisdom teeth hurt alot?!

Lord yes! I had them put me under, and when I woke up I could barely even open my mouth. I couldn't get my finger in to pull out the old gauze, I just pulled it out by the string ( rather tampon-like things they use) and used a pen to stuff in the new ones. However, it was much better in just a couple days. The only pain then was when you get food in the empty sockets and you have to use a syringe to shoot water into them to clean it out. Be very careful about dry socket, that's when the bloody plugs left in the holes come out, then it starts to rot etc. You get it from sucking on straws or especially smoking after surgery. Any negative pressure in the mouth can cause it.Health Question & Answer

Well I got put under when they took mine, so that didn't hurt.
Then when I woke up I only felt gauze in my mouth it was more uncomfortable, than pain.
And it sucked for a couple days having to eat soup and pudding.
They should give you good pain meds so its no so bad.Health Question & Answer
