There is one study in south east asia where they do LSTR or lesion sterilization and tissue regeneration. The best they have achieved so far is to kill bacteria in the cavity and dentin was regenerated, so far, enamel cannot be regrown because it is an inorganic part, meaning it has n o life, unlike the next layer, which is the dentis is vital and has nutrition from the pulp.
