What is best? Transparent, or Metal Braces?!

i have had clear braces for 7 months now and havent had any discoloration or stains. but mine are called ICE braces i dont know if thats any different. but if you drink red power aid theyll stain but you can just rinse your mouth out with water and youll be fine. just be shure to brush good.Health Question & Answer

Really depends on your dentist. Some dentist can do a really good job with transparent others are better with metal. Ask how often do people get transparent compared to metaI at your dental office. had both but the metal braces are on all the time therefore acting on your teeth at all times. The transparent take a bit longer just because there needs to be new molds of your teeth to slowly readjust your teeth.Health Question & Answer

transparent acctually goes yellow over time.. and looks really gross!

i chose metal braces, thought i would embrace it and not hide behind it when i got them because it's not like people wouldn't know anyway!! and it's only a short period of time :) be over before you know it!

if your really self conscience there are braces that are like retainers that are see-thru, they're probably better if you want them to be subtle.

there pretty much the same i just got the transparent ones taken off and mine never turned yellow like people are saying
