Haha, I know it sounds like a dumb question, but think about it: your hair grows longer...your height increases, your nails get longer, so do your teeth get larger.? It's just something I always wondered about...any ideas.? Health Question & Answer

Haha, don't worry! This is not a silly question, I wonder that all the time! Yes, your hair and heigh and nails increase, but your teeth don't grow longer, they only grow stronger. Teeth look different with different people because it depends on their gums. Some gums are pulled over people's teeth [making them look short] and some gums are thin or sparse [making teeth look long]

its not a dumb question but no teeth do not grow larger or longer lol... once teeth are erupted the roots may continue to grow but the part that you see clinically do not get longer or grow.... teeth look different as people age either because their gums have receded which gives the tooth a longer appearance (since the gums have been pushed back) or the teeth may appear smaller or shorter because of the normal breaking down of tooth structure as we age or grinding of teeth

no... never... our teeth are not of type which grow longer...
but once it has erupted, its growth stops and only root formation occurs till 1-3 yrs from eruption of tooth and that too root grows deeper.
