Question: Questions about getting wisdom teeth out.?
On monday i am going in to get all four of my wisdom teeth yanked out. how much pain should i expect in the recovery.? how long does it take to recover.? will i look like a chipmunk.?Health Question & Answer

I got all four out too. It is painful, Im not going to lie. It is uncomfortable you won' t be able to eat for a few days. They normally tell you to keep cotton balls inside your mouth for a couple hours for the bleeding and to keep swallowing and avoid spitting (doesn't sound good, I know), but they told me it helped with healing. I got two different pain medications and one to prevent swelling so, even though I was swollen it was not too bad considering they removed all four. Cold liquids feel good, and things like jello etc. Rest, rest, rest for a few days if possible, it'll help you heal and not swell up.
I got sutures in two so had to go back to get those removed too and that was not fun either... I think it is better to get all four out at once so you don't have to go through the same pain twice. I would not have been back for the others...Health Question & Answer

LOL, yes, you will be swollen the first day or two. I had all of mine taken out at the same time as well and I took a full week to recover. Everyone is different, so just plan to have a couple extra days off in case you are not feeling like going back to school, work, ect... Overall the it's a very quick process and they do give you pain meds, so you should plan on being on a liquid diet for awhile (soups, milkshakes, apple sauce, ice cream) until you are ready or have been given the "ok" to eat solid food. Just drink lots of water and try to get as much rest as you can and you'll be back to normal in no time.

well it depends on your teeth and how they do it, I had one wisdom tooth pulled with just Novocaine it hurt like hell and got infected REALLY bad then I had 2 more pulled at a different place and they put me under, I had no problems at all I wasn't even really swollen I could eat soft foods later in the day and I didn't need to take anything more than over the counter pain meds, everyone is different, but I would suggest full anesthesia it was awsome lolHealth Question & Answer

if you get numbed good, you don't feel any pain, but you do "feel" the whole thing (pulling, tugging, etc..)

you are ok by the next day- nothing swells up

i don't know about all 4- maybe you will feel a lil sore

i got 2 at one time and I was surprised at how easy it was
